Closure and Reclamation Consolidation Project - Well Abandonment and Final Closure and Reclamation Program, Colville Lake Area

The Water Licence S19L1-003 and the Permit S19A-004 related to the same is the consolidation of four sets of expired licences and permits listed below. 

The expired permits and licences consolidated for the closure and reclamation operations are:

• S01A-007 (Permit) and S01L1-003 (Licence): Oil and Gas exploration drilling project located at the south of Lac Belot and Tweed Lake, near Colville Lake, NT; involving well sites C-49, and M-17 and remote sump P-27. The project is currently at the monitoring/reclamation stage.  
• S03A-007 (Permit) and S03L1-015 (Licence): Oil and Gas exploration drilling project located at the Lac Maunoir area, approximately 35km north-east of Colville Lake; involving well sites C-34 and L-80. The project is currently at the monitoring/reclamation stage.  
• S03A-008 (Permit) and S03L1-016 (Licence): Oil and Gas exploration drilling project located at the Tunago-Nogha area, approximately 73km south of Colville Lake, NT (and north of Tunago Lake); involving well sites K-14, B-23 and E-44. The project is currently at the monitoring/reclamation stage.  
• S04A-010 (Permit) and S04L1-011 (Licence): Oil and Gas exploration drilling project located at the Lac Maunoir area approximately 65km north-east of Colville Lake; involving well sites E-35 and A-67. The project is currently at the monitoring/reclamation stage.  

These permits and licences were originally held by Paramount Resources Ltd. and Apache Canada Ltd. and were later Assigned to MGM Energy. The Land Use Permit (S19A-004) and accompanying Water Licence (S19L1-003) are being sought so that MGM can proceed with the final closure and reclamation of the Nogha and Maunoir area well sites, as listed above. MGM envisions the winter road/lease construction and abandonment operations no later than the winter 2022-2023 season. The scope includes activities winter road construction, abandonment operations, reclamation, remediation, camps, helicopter access and monitoring.
