Remediation work of the former O'Connor Lake mine approximately 100km east of Fort Resolution. The site is located on Federal land.
Activities include: Sealing an open mine shaft, demolishing the headframe and site buildings and removing associated hazardous materials, installing groundwater monitoring wells, and removing all materials and equipment from site upon completion.
A camp will be utilized.
Slave Lake Zinc currently holds a Type A Land Use Permit (MV2016C0037) and Type B Water License (MV2021L8-0008) in the same location, but activities are separate to the activities under this Permit.
