This Project is the construction, use, and closure of a winter road and all season road from the Nahanni Butte Access Road to the Prairie Creek Mine Site.

The roads cross various jurisdictions, including the Nahanni National Park Reserve (approximately km17-100; jurisdiction of Parks Canda), federal land (approximately km156-164; jurisdiction of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board), and non-federal land (all other stretches of road; jurisdiction of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board).

This type A water licence is for the portion of the Project in non-federal land under the jurisdiction of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board. It is accompanied by Land Use Permit MV2014F0013.

This portion of the Project was previously authorized under type B water licence MV2014L8-0006.

Please note that this water licence and its associated land use permit are linked to authorizations issued by the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board and Parks Canada for the same Project:

• water licence MV2023L8-0003 (federal land).
• land use permit PC2014F0013 (Parks Canada), and
• water licence PC2023L8-0002 (Parks Canada).
