The Land and Water Boards of Mackenzie Valley have developed the attached Draft Guideline for Geographic Information System (GIS) Submission Standard for public comment. The draft Guideline describes the Boards’ expectations for GIS associated submissions including project location description, maps, GIS data, and metadata.  The Boards’ objective is to ensure that map and GIS submissions are complete, accurate, and consistent between projects, which supports an efficient and effective regulatory process.

The Draft Guideline has been reviewed by the Boards’ GIS Initiative Team and approved by the Boards’ Executive Directors to put forth for public review. The Boards look forward to receiving feedback on the draft Guideline. Your comments are much appreciated. The deadline for public comments is July 1, 2016. Comments can be submitted on the MVLWB’s Online Review System.
