The Land and Water Boards (LWBs) are pleased to announce the release of the Waste and Wastewater Management Policy, which updates and replaces the Water and Effluent Quality Management Policy. A revision history table summarizing the changes is included within the Policy, and a Review Summary Table encompassing the two public reviews conducted for the Policy update is available for more information.
The LWBs have also made administrative updates to the following guidance documents to reflect the Policy and other new and updated LWB guidance documents. Revision history tables summarizing the changes are included within each document.
- LWB/GNWT Guidelines for Effluent Mixing Zones
- LWB Standard Process for Setting Effluent Quality Criteria (previously a component of the Guidelines for Effluent Mixing Zones)
- LWB Standard Water Licence Conditions Template
The LWBs have also updated their Document Submission Standards to improve clarity and reflect current expectations.
